Title: A Psalm of David.

I. The Prayer of Remembrance

A.  Remember those who trust in You.
B.  Remember that salvation comes from God.
B.  Remember God’s mercy, not my sin. 

II. The Prayer of Restoration

A.  The goodness of God restores our pardon.
B.  The guidance of God returns our path.
C.  The grace of God redeems our peace.

III. The Prayer of Refuge

A.  Turning to God releases me from sin.
B.  Turning to God rescues me from sorrow.
C.  Turning to God restores me to security.

Psalm 25 is written is an acrostic format. Each verse of the psalm begins with a different letter of the Hebrew alphabet. The acrostic does have two notable exceptions, most likely for emphasis. The psalm is a written prayer calling on God to remember those who trust in Him and remind Him of their need for mercy. The psalmist prays for God’s restoration and refuge so that His people may be redeemed and restored to their God.
