Psalm 8 is a declaration of the greatness of God through humble adoration. David stresses the seeming insignificance of man in contrast to the vastness of the universe, yet it is God who not only sees man, but exalts him. All of creation has been given for man to manage. The only appropriate response is for us to share in David’s humble adoration and declare the greatness of our God.
