A call for justice – verses 8-10 III. God reigns over men (11-17) A. The standard is righteousness – verse 11 B. The choice is man’s – verses 12-16 C. God deserves the praise – verse 17
When David faced criticism from people, he made two very wise steps. First, he looked deeply into his heart to see if the criticism was true. Second, he took it to the Lord. In this Psalm, the criticism of Cush the Benjamite was unfounded and undeserved. Being right with God, David asked the Lord to grant him deliverance. When we face criticism from people, we, too, need to look deep within. If we are in the right, take it to the Lord and let Him accomplish His will in our lives.
